Mennen Rink Policy Update

By Beth Kienzlen 12/11/2021, 4:00pm EST

Effective Friday, December 10, 2021, Masks are required for everyone coming into Mennen Sports Arena.

  • Skaters/players must wear a mask in the building except for when they are on the ice.
  • Coaches must wear face coverings at all times.
  • Face coverings must be worn by anyone dropping off and picking up skaters from practices, games and lessons.
  • All spectators must wear face coverings.
  • Locker Rooms are open and masks MUST worn when inside.
  • Face coverings can be removed when eating at a table.

The staff at Mennen Sports Arena will continue with our daily routine cleaning and sanitizing of all areas and bathrooms within the facility as we want to ensure the safety and well-being of our skating community.

  • Parents are still allowed in to watch all practice sessions, lessons and games.
  • Skaters may enter with their skating or hockey bags. All hockey players must get dressed in a locker room. There should be no changing in the lobby or in the rink except for putting on and taking off skates.
  •  If skaters are not feeling well, or have been in contact with someone that has had Covid-19, we ask that you follow the CDC / State guidelines and stay home.

We ask that everyone respects our policies and decisions. Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Concussion Awareness and Information

By Beth Percevault 09/17/2016, 3:15pm EDT

Important Information on Concussions

In keeping in compliance with the league insurance company, all towns must be made aware and follow certain concussion protocols.

Please visit the following link for more information on concussions and your responsibilities as coaches, parents and players:

http://www.cdc.gov/headsup/index.html

We recommend that each organization require parents and players to view these videos, take the free, online courses and print their certificates to show they have taken the course.

We will discuss new protocols and requirements for the league at our upcoming board meeting.

Covid Central

Planning is underway to offer the regular MCYHL season as well as the Saturday Learn to Skate and Play Hockey Clinic.

We will continue to follow CDC guidelines and rink protocols to ensure that  everyone stays safe and healthy.
